time

A few weeks ago while in a conversation with some new co-workers we shared about what God has been doing in our lives the past few years. So many great things, many hard things and us realizing His unending grace in our lives. We still feel like we are spinning a bit. From reading the book 1,000 gifts I have been so encouraged and challenged to just soak up the moments that make up the spinning :) I was most impacted on her chapter about time I think.

She asks the question: " How do the eyes of the soul see? Craving more time to manage the life I already have, yet I see more when I stop & see the thousand broken & missed things, thousands lie in the wake of all the rushing - rushing seems to make time, but really is throwing it away. Hurry always empties a soul. When I am thankful I am 'time-full'.

So some of the things that I am investing my time in: the Zulu knot
My beautiful girls hair. It took just under 3 hours to wash and complete. Tears, explanations, questions, boredom, back aches....all sweet blessings.

Our bright little 5 month old!

Spring sightings?

Sneaking over to Uncle R's house for a quad ride - bitter cold, but worth it!

She puts into words so many things I feel in my heart, but can't articulate. The shirts came from my sis-in-law as a hand me down. You could probably find some on Amazon? miss you and love you!
