So, we hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
We praise God for the family He provided this year as we were all away from our own families. Christmas Day was gorgeous with lots of sunshine - real cold tho.
On 26 December 4 of us took a bus up to Latvia & Estonia to see what the other Baltic capital cities were like. Both were great and we are so thankful to have a little step away from Kaunas for renewed perspectives.
New Years in Kaunas was crazy. We started the evening off with an incredible concert at our church. Lithuanians are amazing musicians. Later in the evening the firework frenzy began. Since we only live a couple blocks from town hall square we dashed out of the flat & ran down to watch the amazing & chaotic show. Then came home and enjoyed our own little show. Don't worry - no one was injured.
A very encouraging start to 2007 was the Agape Staff Retreat. We headed to this little resort town near the Polish border. The most encouragement came from getting to hang out with the Vilnius team...they are amazing people and it is SO GOOD to experience the body of Christ in deep fellowship. God softened a lot of hearts during those 3 days- plus we got to play in a brand new water-park with water-slides, saunas and a wave pool.

So the next 2 weeks we will be doing our planning for the next semester. We greatly appreciate prayer as we brainstorm and seek God for how to meet & build releationships with Lithuanian students.

Hey! I was just reading your blog and praying for you guys. Thanks for the update! It sounds like you guys are doing great. Did you know that we have looked at flights to come and visit you more than once? Yeah, we figured it would be a great encouragement trip. :) But the flights are pretty spendy.:( anyway, we will see you in 3 weeks right?!

The winter hat has probably lost its novelty...but I'll admit to being a little bit jealous...mine doesn't see much action these days.
