July 2014

We had the blessing of having my cousin Jack and Aunt Jill stay with us for about a week. My kids LOVED having Jack around - Lucy especially loved sticking her stinky feet on him and giggling delightfully.
We decided to be spontaneous and drive to the beach for the day.
So thankful we did as we were able to connect with my great-aunt Joyce and Rich and allow the kids to meet their 2nd cousin Emily who they had a ton of fun with.
We headed to Springdale for the 4th of July celebration at my Uncle Terry's. Rob played a trick on us and somehow we ended up like this :( poor momma
Instead of watching any fireworks we ended up in the field at Ricks helping bring in the hay. It was so awesome. The smell was divine and felt so good to help him get it done.
I drove back to Montana with Aunt Jill. Was so fun to reconnect with her now as an adult :) Big gaps in between my childhood and now. We talked non-stop for 12+ hours :) Saw this sign at a truck stop in St. Regis.
After nearly hitting a deer because i could barely see out of the mosquito splatted windshield I made it to my childhood farm.
Was so blessed to take a walk each day with Skidoodle's company.
Found this treasure. This old Ford was the vehicle where I took my first independent drive. It was up to 'Lucky 13' (13 grain bins on our property that was about 10 miles away). It's now a spray rig, but so fun to see it again.
Then into town for my 20 year class reunion. Here we are trying to get a plan for our float. 7 of our 11 classmates were there.
The end product, which won us Grand Prize!!
Back to Oregon - had 4 days with Peter and got in a little family hike to Bridal Veil falls.
Then the kids did VBS at Open Door, which was amazing! Can't wait for next year. They had a blast.
