projects

We have been busy with projects lately. I got this little beauty for $2 at a garage sale - it was dirty and a rusty brown color. It was very rewarding to sand it up and paint it. While we are waiting on so many things right now these projects seem to help :)

Another project we (peter) did was refinishing these old twin bed frames for our kids. Boppa used them as a kid and he found them up in his attic. Again a bit of sanding and black paint did the trick :)

A big treat on a sunny day was getting to fill up the 'big' pool and play. They loved it and were captivated for a while until Boppa pulled out his chainsaw to break down an old table.



Then they stood like this for quite some time.

Timing is so peculiar sometimes. Peter's parents put their house up for sale 2 years ago (about the time we left for Australia). They were notified that it sold the day we moved in with them so they themselves are in the process of moving. Seems that you wait and wait then everything happens at once.
This was another project that happened this week. The kids loved it and were very interested in the digger.

The garage is very full of garage sale purchases and boxes we have stored for years- just waiting to be unpacked and put away for a while.

Today we found out that we are one step closer to having a home. The bank accepted our offer and we are in the final stages of getting loan approval. I still feel like until we have keys I won't believe it's real as it's been such a long process!! But here is a shot of Peter (who was doing a happy dance minutes before I snapped it)and the kids. Praise God!


And the last 'project' is this little bub in my belly. I am just over 28 weeks...hello 3rd trimester :) Feeling more tired and achy, but thankful that things have been going relatively smooth for this pregnancy.
