We have been here in Florida at NST (New Staff Training) with CCC (Campus Crusade for Christ) for about a week now. There are about 120 other people going through the training with us. Some things I looked forward to while here were being in a warm & sunny climate and being able to get outside and walk each day.
God spoke to me so personally while on a walk a few days ago. I have shared this story with some people, but decided to do a blogpost about it since we have not been the blogging-type lately.
It was a beautiful evening with pink & orange hues in the sky. No wind, just the waves crashing next to me and seagulls hoping for some food.
I had listened to a sermon podcast from Stu during the 'Don't Waste Your Life' series about the Cross. It got me thinking and i just began processing it with the Lord.
I know how much God the Father loved Jesus....SO MUCH...and i think that even before Jesus came to earth He knew what his mission was, yet he was so human and dreaded the weight of what God had called him to do. What i was so struck with was the fact that God loves Jesus more than we can even know, yet didn't hold back His wrath at all. It was all poured out on Jesus - our sin....he took it upon himself and it was a LOT. It just brings tears to my eyes thinking of what Jesus did for us knowing that God loves us, but his wrath was still poured out. The Cross is a pretty amazing thing and i am thankful that God lets me see really clearly the power of it at times.

im so happy you decided to share that story with the Blog people too.. It amazes me too that He knew too His mission before He came to earth.. & still was willing too because He knew it was God's will to do so. :) That indeed is the deepest love ever!
i will remember to keep you two in prayers while in Florida.. may God continue to bless ya both! ><>
